She is a Mumbaite and comes from a mixed family. Her father is Gujarati, and her mother is half British and half Maharashtrian. A 19 Year's babe, Anushka Sharma to pair opposite SRK in Yashraj’s next, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’

Yash Raj films had created much mystery and speculations about the girl who would be cast opposite SRK in their next mega venture ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. The suspense now comes to an end with the announcement of Anushka Sharma’s name as the female lead for the film.

Anushka, 19 year old teenager, is a small time model from Bangalore. During the last Fashion Week, Anushka was one of the models picked for Wendell Roderick’s finale. Since then she has been doing product endorsements.

Talking about the choice, Yash Chopra said, “We were looking first and foremost for someone who could truly embody the spirit of small town Punjab and we know we have found her in Anushka Sharma. And while she has no previous acting experience, we have seen that unique spark in her that makes us confident that she will be a standout even opposite Shah Rukh.”

The film will go on floors on 16th May and will hit theatres worldwide on 12th December.

Prachi confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I have signed the film but it’s too early to talk about it. I can’t reveal many details about Life Partner. All I can say is that when I heard the script, I loved it and am happy that I am a part of it.”

The King of Kisses Emraan Hashmi has been rumoured to have signed up for a Yash Raj Films production.

According to the grapevine, the serial kisser has agreed to work with director Jaideep Sahni in his next which will be produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films.

When Emraan was approached about this, he said, ?I?m going to do one film at a time from now on. I already have Raaz 2 on the floors and after that, I am going to sign another film. As far as the Jaideep Sahni thing is concerned? I can?t reveal anything right now. I will make a formal announcement in two weeks.?

Ayesha Takia has always been candid about her boyfriend Farhan Azmi whom she has been dating for over two years now. Though nothing is official at present, but seems that the wedding will take place in a few months coz Ayesha is busy with her wedding preparations now.

Must say that Tamil Nadu moral police has taken the responsibility of teaching our Bolly actresses the leasson of moral values and Indian traditions.

The fresh one is Mallika Sherawat who has been attacked for wearing an ‘indecent’ dress at Dasavatharam audio launch at nehru Indoor Stadium on April 25. S R Kaniraj, the Chennai secretary of the Hindu Makkal Kachi, has filed a compliant against the actress for wearing a revealing dress at the function. The complaint says that Mallika has “caused mental agony and hurt to the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu by wearing a revealing mini skirt, exposing her back and sitting cross legged in front of the Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.”

Well, if this continues from HMK, the guys from Tamil Nadu must forget about treating their eyes with the revealing outfits of our actresses!
